AKMA produced a high level, corporate data model and provided detailed descriptions along with catalogued business processes and systems. These were described in a large matrix, a technique that identified which systems supported which processes and the data required for each process. It highlighted clustering and demonstrated overlaps, duplication and gaps.
This process was employed to deliver a five year programme of projects. AKMA went on to define project standards in relation to data structures, processes and project management.
