Textile Order, Supply Chain and Warehousing Management

The Client

A household jeans and associated textile brand with key markets in the USA and Europe.

The Problem

This company was operating numerous, varied, legacy warehousing systems throughout Europe. They needed to replace this mixture of technology with a modern, integrated solution.

The Challenge

Replace 1000 mixed interfaces with a common interface mechanism to share data between the new system and the surrounding older feeder systems (e.g. sales management). This would facilitate control of the initial migrations and could be used for future changes and rollouts.

The Result

AKMA defined a corporate data model - a description of the business data which was understandable and useful to business users and managers. Against this model, AKMA defined maps linking the systems data and the model to produce specifications that a technical tram could use to build the interfaces.

AKMA reduced the number of interfaces by 30% and designed the new ones so they could be used in future projects.
